Consultation and participation

Involving young people in designing the services we offer for them can be challenging and rewarding in equal measure. This workshop style session uses group discussions and the example of a real life participation project (the making of the film ‘In The Lead’) to explore how to build meaningful service user involvement.

In 15 slides it covers:

  • What are Consultation and Participation?
  • Hart’s Ladder of Participation
  • How We Did It – tips, challenges and examples from a real life project

I FELT HEARD AND GROWN UP; THE CHOICE FELT LIKE MINE. IT WAS A BIT NERVE WRACKING BUT I FELT LIKE FOR THE FIRST TIME I WAS BEING ENCOURAGED TO BE INDEPENDENT”
