Spaces and places

This session explores a key element of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) – the impact of our physical environment – by taking a trip with a young person to the jobcentre. The session is useful for anyone working with young people who struggle to complete with tasks or processes.

The presentation is in the form of a photo story, and the session includes small group discussion and feedback.

22 slides cover:

  • Exploring the Impact of our Physical Environment
  • How we can Influence our Physical Environment

I’M REALLY INTENTIONAL IN ALL MY SUPPORT SESSIONS TO TRY AND BUILD AN ENVIRONMENT THAT PUTS (YOUNG PEOPLE)  AT EASE…QUITE OFTEN THE BEST CONVERSATIONS I HAVE WILL BE WHEN WE ARE DOING SOMETHING TOGETHER AND WE’RE NOT ACTUALLY LOOKING AT EACH OTHER, BUT WE CAN STILL TALK.”
